Shipping, Returns & Refund Policy
At Wise Angler, we believe in transparency, responsible delivery, and customer care that reflects our values of sustainability and trust. This policy explains how we process orders, shipping, returns, and refunds for both New Zealand and international customers.
Shipping Information
Order Processing

Orders are dispatched within 48 hours (2 working days).

Orders are shipped from the closest available depot or warehouse to reduce freight impact and delivery time.

You will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking once your order has been dispatched.
Sustainability Note: Orders shipped directly from the Wise Angler warehouse use 100% plastic-free packaging, supporting a cleaner and more responsible fishing industry.
Domestic Shipping — New Zealand

Delivery usually occurs within 2–7 working days, depending on location and stock availability.

Live courier rates are displayed at checkout for full transparency.

Some rural or offshore island deliveries may require additional time.
International Shipping

We ship worldwide, including Australia, USA, Canada, Brazil, and more.

Shipping costs for international orders are calculated at checkout or agreed directly with approved retailer partners.

Customs duties, import taxes or clearance fees are the responsibility of the customer/retailer and are not refundable by Wise Angler.
Shipping Promotions & Free Freight

From time to time, free shipping promotions may apply to qualifying orders.

Any active free freight offer will be clearly displayed at checkout or communicated directly to eligible retail partners.

Wise Angler reserves the right to update or withdraw freight offers at any time without prior notice.
Apparel Collection & Multi-Origin Shipping

Some apparel items or limited collection merchandise may ship from different fulfilment locations, which may affect delivery timeframes or shipping fees.

If your order contains multiple product types, items may arrive in separate parcels.
PO Box Deliveries

Not all couriers deliver to PO Boxes.

If a delivery to a PO Box is not possible, we will contact you to provide an alternative residential or commercial address.
Heavy or Oversized Orders

For orders over 25 kg or bulky cartons, additional freight charges may apply.

You will be notified before dispatch if extra fees are necessary.
Lost or Damaged Parcels

If your shipment arrives damaged, please email info@wiseangler.co.nz immediately with photos.

If your parcel has not arrived within 5 working days of dispatch, contact us promptly so we can investigate.

Delayed reports may affect refund eligibility.
Returns & Refunds
Return Timeframe

You have 7 days from receiving your order to request a return.

To initiate a return, email info@wiseangler.co.nz with your order number and reason for return.

Returns without prior approval will not be accepted.
Return Eligibility
To qualify for a return:

Items must be unused, unopened, in original resale condition, with packaging intact.

Due to product safety and hygiene standards, opened fishing tackle, hooks, soft bait packets, or used gear cannot be returned, unless the product is faulty.

Proof of purchase is required.
We take product integrity seriously. Once fishing tackle is opened, it cannot be restocked — this policy helps us maintain safe and clean product standards for all anglers.
Non-Returnable Items
The following cannot be returned:

Opened or used fishing tackle (hooks, swivels, soft baits, terminal tackle)

Sale or clearance items

Gift cards or digital codes

Wholesale/B2B orders except in cases of verified defect
Faulty, Incorrect or Damaged Items

If your item arrives damaged, incorrect or defective, contact us within 48 hours with supporting photos.

We will replace or refund the item at no cost to you once assessed.
Return Shipping Costs

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the return is due to a defective or incorrect item.

We recommend using a tracked courier service. We cannot guarantee receipt of untracked returns.
Return Address

Once your return is approved, we will provide the return address in Auckland, New Zealand, along with packing instructions.

Do not ship items before receiving return approval.
Exchanges

To exchange a product, simply return the item following the normal return process.

Once the return is approved and received, you can place a new order for the preferred item.
Refund Processing Time

Once your return is received and inspected, you will be notified of approval status.

If approved, refunds are processed within 10 business days back to your original payment method.

Your bank or payment provider may take up to 15 business days to release funds.

If you have not received your refund after this time, please contact us and we’ll assist promptly.
Wholesale & Retailer Supply Terms (B2B Only)

Wholesale and retailer orders follow separate trade terms issued directly to approved retail partners.

Wise Angler does not supply products under consignment, sale-or-return or guaranteed sell-through agreements.

Trade terms, minimum order allocations and payment conditions may apply and are agreed individually with each retail partner.
